Your project and OW2

GLPI brings a new brick to OW2 code base that is not yet covered by any OW2 project. Asset management is highly important in enterprise because an asset inventory is the first step toward security: know which machines are running which version of which operating system, when it has been upgraded...

OW2 projects

OW2 projects used or planned to be used :

  • Prelude (GLPI plug-in already available)
  • XWiki
  • LemonLDAP

OW2 projects which could benefit from GLPI :

  • prelude
OW2 initiatives
  • Availability of plugins for OpenVAS (Open source Vulnerability Assessment Scanner), hence possible synergies with PRISi
  • Contributions to PRISi
Technologies and standards
  • technologies: PHP, MariaDB or MySQL
  • GLPi is compliant with ITIL best practices
Contribution to the OW2 Community

Same answer as the one brought to the question "Your project and OW2"

Motivations to join the consortium and its community
  • Broaden the community
  • Bring a brick that can interact with other OW2 projects
  • Benefit from the OW2 quality assessment tools
