VESPA

VESPA stands for Virtual Environments for Self-Protecting Architecture.

VESPA (Virtual Environments Self-Protecting Architecture) is an architecture and software framework written in Python for the security monitoring of IaaS and multi-IaaS infrastructures. VESPA automates protection with several levels of control, mainly according to software layers: intra-layer (physical, hypervisor, VM), inter-layer, and multi-cloud. VESPA enables to integrate in a modular manner components for detection (i.e., which attack?), decision (i.e., which mitigation strategy?), and reaction (i.e., how to come back to a safe state).
