The Release Candidate of KNOWAGE 8.1 is now available for download. From the previous version 8.0 the following changes have been made:

• New data preparation module

• New administration panels look&feel for the admin

• New look&feel for end-user

• Theme management feature

NEW DATA PREPARATION MODULE

This new capability enables a certain degree of data manipulation in the self-service process, without ask for a traditional ETL process. When the end-user will start uploading his own data or using an available data set, he can easily customize the data structure and contents (group, split and merge data, apply filters, update contents, enrich or classify data, transform a continuous value into a discrete one or mask private data) without using external tools.

NEW ADMINISTRATOR AND END USER LOOK&FEEL

THEME MANAGEMENT FEATURE

This new feature allows the admin to create new themes to customize KNOWAGE overall look&feel.

Since KNOWAGE grows thanks to its open source community, anyone is welcome to report issues or bugs on this Release Candidate on the bug tracker!

The ultimate KNOWAGE 8.1 version will be released in the following months.
